The Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville) has taken a further step toward formalising its partnership with Botswana, with both parties agreeing on 19 February in Windhoek to accelerate the finalisation of a framework cooperation agreement. The understanding, reached during bilateral consultations held in the Namibian capital, points to a deliberate effort by Brazzaville to broaden its diplomatic footprint beyond its traditional Central African neighbourhood and into Southern Africa.
A Framework Agreement Within Reach
The framework agreement under discussion is intended to provide a structured basis for cooperation between the two countries.
